Oil on board by Henry Joseph 'Harry' Payne (1858-1927), 1905 (c).

An officer leads the 6th Dragoon Guards in a march past general officers, holding his sword up in salute. Dragoons were originally mounted soldiers primarily intended to fight on foot, but by the late 18th century most dragoon regiments had evolved into conventional cavalry units.
